A lot of people have problems with English language usage.

And this often shows in the way they answer questions in the IELTS Test. From my experience, people get answers wrong in the IELTS Listening due to omission of plural markers such as 's' or 'es'.

Other times, the issue is with incorrect spellings. For example, the past tense verb 'led' is written for the noun 'lead' (which is a metal). Perhaps, we could blame this on similar pronunciation.

At other times, the problem is with paraphrasing and synonyms - words with similar meanings. Sometimes, I find that people do not find their answers in the IELTS Reading and IELTS Listening easily because they do not know what synonyms to look for and listen for. And they end up wasting time and getting confused and frustrated.

Things get even worse in the IELTS Writing when they have to write more than a maximum of three words (which is what happens with the IELTS Listening and IELTS Reading).

In the IELTS Writing, you have to write at least 150 words in Task 1 and at least 250 words in Task 2. With around 400 to 500 words, you get to show more of your understanding of English.

And so things like tense problems, wrong sentence formation, poor punctuation usage, weak word choices, lack of cohesive devices, and lots more become obvious.

Weak grammar is a major reason why a lot of people get band 6.0 or lower in the IELTS Writing. And when you add poor pronunciation to that, you've discovered the reason why some people have band 6.5 or lower in the IELTS Speaking.

So these are my WHY for creating this eBook.
